Klappentext

ve is based on a true incident that occured in a high school history class in Palo Alto, California, in 1969.The powerful forces of group pressure that pervaded many historic movements such as Nazism are recreated in the classroom when history teacher Burt Ross introduces a "new" system to his students. And before long "The Wave," with its rules of "strength through discipline, community, and action, " sweeps from the classroom through the entire school. And as most of the students join the movement, Laurie Saunders and David Collins recognize the frightening momentum of "The Wave" and realize they must stop it before it's too late.

The Wave ist sehr interessant geschrieben.

Although this book was a nice and easy book to read, There were some problems. The greatest one being that I didn't feel any climax to the story. What I mean by that is that I was waiting throughout the book for a huge event to happen which would call for the immediate disbandment of "The Wave". Although one could argue how a fascist student movement which made you give up your independence and carry out violent acts against non-wave members was a "big"deal and was surely a climatic point to the story, I simply didn't feel it because the author didn't emphasize it. So that is why I give it 2 stars.
